Arrived In Olympic Village
An 11 hour flight to Beijing, a 1.5 hour flight to Qingdao and a 1 hour bus ride became a decent sized trip. Arriving in Village was spectacular. The Buildings were lit up and the city of Qingdao was buzzing with the anticipation of the biggest sporting event about to begin.

Europeans... A humbling experience
Not having raced for 3 months and barely windsurfing due to the cold winter in Vancouver left a lot of rust for me to shake off during the European Championships. This is what I first thought of. And then it came to mind that, I only needed to keep the people who mean most to me close by.
My training and Focus continues.

2007 World Champs Report
The final series were just as difficult as the qualifying in terms of wind conditions, with our windward mark only 300 meters off shore and the wind gusting from 2-20 knots with oscillating shifts of over 100 degrees. I began to thrive in the conditions and concentrated on sailing smart. In the first race of the final series I rounded the first mark in 2nd place,

2006 RS:X WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
On September 23rd 164 of the best male Olympic class windsurfers gathered in Lake Garda, Italy to take part in the 2006 NeilPryde RS:X World Championships.
The first race in gold fleet was an adrenaline rush with 82 boards screaming off the starting line, traveling in excess of 15 knots upwind. One small mistake on a line of 82 would mean getting spit out the back of a moving wind shadow of which there would be no return.
By the end of the day I had achieved my goal of finishing in the top 25.
This was the best result I have produced at any major WC event and was pleased with my progress throughout the 2006 season. At the end of the event I gained respect from many of the sailors. With the help of my teammates and coach we were able to establish Canada as a new force in the RS:X Olympic class.
